This year’s award went to AD Shopping's Complexo Metro Tatuapé, São Paulo, Brazil, for their “Mulheres de Peito” campaign, for its innovative breast cancer advocacy campaign. The award was presented to Complexo Metro Tatuapé during ICSC’s RECon Latin America, on March 8, 2015 in Cancun, Mexico.
"It is an honor to receive such a prestigious award from the ICSC Foundation and verifies that we are on the right path," said Sylvia Navarro, marketing manager, Complexo Comercial Tatuapé. "This project was created in partnership with GBECAM, with the aim of guiding and inspiring women who have gone through the terrible discovery of breast cancer. In supporting this cause, the Complexo Comercial Tatuapé improved access to information, providing an invaluable service to its customers and showing that it is possible to adjust the marketing of a business to draw attention to important social issues."
